Cookie notice

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. matchstaq uses two kinds: essential cookies that are always on because the Service needs them, and analytics cookies that we use only if you agree. This notice supplements our Privacy policy.

These are strictly necessary for the Service to work and cannot be turned off. They do not require consent under the GDPR and ePrivacy rules.

• Authentication cookies. Set by our authentication provider to establish and maintain your logged-in session. They are HTTP-only and marked Secure. Without them, you cannot log in or stay signed in.
• Cookie-choice cookie. A small first-party cookie that remembers your analytics choice so we do not ask again on every visit.

We also store a theme preference (light or dark) in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is not sent to our servers, and is not used to identify or track you.

With your permission, we use PostHog to understand how matchstaq is used — which features people use and where they run into trouble — so we can improve it. These cookies are set only after you choose "Accept all," and are never loaded if you reject them. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

PostHog is listed on our Sub-processors page. If you reject analytics, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.

The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings — but blocking our authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in, and clearing site data will reset your theme and cookie choices.
